Large Copper Dormer Vent Back
Here's the attic side of a large copper dormer
vent.
This dormer vent is actually installed underneath a large open patio.
This would provide great ventilation in the summertime as it started to
warm up underneath this patio.
Using dormer vents in a situation like this is not real common because
there is usually enough air movement underneath most patio covers.
The architect could have used these dormer vents for cosmetic purposes
also. He liked the looks of them on the building.
Most building codes do not require ventilation
underneath open structures.
